Spellbound Control game mode updates
The update brings a number of quality of life changes to Apex Legends’s limited-time game mode. Matchmaking has been improved with an extension to the Join In Progress window. Matchmaking will try to fill empty player slots until 1 team has a score of 625 or there is a score difference of 300 between the teams. Players that join a Control match in progress will get the following benefits:
Skip the first spawn wave
Spawn with Purple Armor and Helmet
Get a full Ratings Tier ( Purple Weapons and an Ultimate Charge)
If a team is losing by a score of 62 or more, they skip spawn waves. The developers also added new end-of-match XP reward to Control (150 XP for completing a match). Bloodhound clues have been nerfed with them disappearing after 30 seconds instead of 90. The Loadout selection has been optimised to the weapon meta changes.
Private matches finally come to Apex Legends
Private matches will be available for all players.
You will be able to generate your own tournament codes and host custom private matches.
