Regions across the globe are gearing up for the conclusion of the Summer Split as teams lock in their Worlds 2023 slots.
This year Worlds 2023 is headed to South Korea and Riot Games and LoL Esports have changed up the format for the biggest international event of the year.
The tournament is scheduled to kick off on 10th October this year and regions are slowly locking in their representatives.

The League of Legends World Championship or Worlds is one of the most exciting tournaments to watch as the top teams from each region across the world battle it out to be crowned the champion. Worlds 2023 is already gearing up to be an exciting international tournament with regions across the globe winding up their respective summer splits to decide which teams will represent them. Winning Worlds 2023 would mean bragging rights, name on coveted Summoner's Cup, and of course, custom in-game skins all the players and this is what all the esports teams in the scene work towards for. 

Worlds 2023 will be the conclusion of the 2023 League of Legends esports (LoL Esports) season. This year, the tournament is all set to be held in South Korea. Additionally, Riot Games has implemented major format changes to the tournament compared to previous years. There's going to be best-of-three (BO3) series, a swiss-style stage and and a brand new Worlds Qualifying Event.

A total of 22 teams will be participating in Worlds 2023 and they are slowly punching in their respective tickets. Here are all the teams that have made it to Worlds so far.


League of Legends Worlds 2023 Seeding

A total of 22 teams from will be participating in the event and the following are the number of representatives each region will send:

  • China (League of Legends Pro League - LPL) - 4 teams

  • Korea (League of Legends Champions Korea - LCK) - 4 teams

  • Europe, Middle East, and Africa (League of Legends EMEA Championship) - 3 teams

  • North America (League of Legends Championship Series - LCS) - 3 teams

  • Southeast Asia (Pacific Championship Series - PCS) - 2 teams

  • Vietnam (Vietnam Championship Series - VCS) - 2 teams

  • Brazil (Campeonato Brasileiro de League of Legends - CBLOL) - 1 team

  • Japan (League of Legends Japan League - LJL) - 1 team

  • Latin America (The Liga Latinoamérica - LLA) - 1 team

  • Worlds Qualifying Series - 1 team

Worlds Qualifying Series

The Worlds Qualifying Series 2023 will be a best-of-five series between the 4th seed of LEC and LCS, and the winning team will earn the final spot at Worlds 2023. The WQS 2023 is between Golden Guardians (NA) vs Team BDS (EMEA).
