Villager Esports (VE) took a bold step by organizing a PUBG tournament, selecting the PC-friendly title as part of the ongoing Villager Esports Winter Masters, scheduled to take place from 5th to 12th January.

Split into two different stages, Group Stage and Grand Finals, the first part of this tournament which took place from 5th to 7th January has already concluded and the top 16 teams have secured a spot for themselves in the Grand Finals.

Here is a quick recap of the Group Stage and all the teams that have qualified for the championship run.

Villager Esports Winter Masters PUBG: Grand Finals - All qualified teams

After a fierce Group Stage, where 24 directly invited teams went head-to-head against each other across three days, the top 16 managed to qualify for the Grand Finals and they are as follows:

  1. Sensei

  2. Yellow Flash

  3. Team Revolt

  4. Welcome To Minas

  5. Enigma Gaming

  6. Quad Threats

  7. Team 4CS

  8. Team Havk

  9. Uncrowned Kings

  10. 4Guys

  11. Finally Found

  12. ORK Esports

  13. Gabbar Esports

  14. DevGru

  15. The God Squad

  16. The Knights

The top two teams, Sensei and Yellow Flash, were by far the best performing teams during the first stage of the tournament, scoring 111 and 102 points respectively.

They were the only two teams that managed to cross the 100 point mark, but the most astonishing thing was that Yellow Flash did not secure a single WWCD (Winner Winner Chicken Dinner) during this run while Sensei grabbed three.

Team Havk, who was the Indian representative at the Asia Pacific Predator League 2022, finished eighth on the overall points table with a total of 82 points. They will surely be looking to improve upon this score and aim for a win in this tournament being one of the fan favorites.

The Grand Finals of VE Winter Masters is currently underway and will be taking place from 9th to 12th January. At the end, the team at the very top of the overall points table will be crowned as the champion and walk away with INR 70,000 in prize money.
