Even better are the days when you do not have work and you simply lounge in and grind a game of your choice. It seems like Canadian film star Simu Liu is no exception. The actor who shined in movies like Marvel’s Shang-Chi and the League of the Ten Rings recently opened up about his love for video games. While answering questions posed to him during an interview at the Barbie Premier Red carpet event on 10th July, Simu Liu talked about Valorant and Diablo 4.

Shang-Chi Famed Simu Liu is also grinding in Diablo 4

While talking to an interviewer at the Barbie event, Simu Liu revealed that he has been playing quite a lot of Diablo 4 and Valorant. Answering Melissah Yang of Refinery29, Liu said, “You know what I love about Diablo? It’s the perfect game to play at the end of a long day on set. Just grinding in the dungeon and clicking away.

Liu also revealed that when he gets together with his friends, he plays Valorant. Talking about the Valorant agents he plays regularly, Simu Liu revealed that he plays a lot of support-like agents including Brimstone and Sage. He also said he has been developing his Breach skills. He added, “Breach is interesting because he is right in there. I like his stuff. He has a good ult.

Commenting on this interaction was former 100 Thieves Valorant coach Sean Gares. He said, “I refuse to believe Simu isn’t maining Jett rn… main character out of game, in movies, and in-game.


Notably, in 2021, Simu Liu made an appearance in the live-action trailer for Diablo 2: Resurrected. Likewise, he recently appeared on a livestream with Rachell “Valkyrae” Hofstetter and Bella Poarch for the promotion of Diablo 4. 

If you have been following the actor on social media for sometime, you will also recall that he had earlier shared a clip of his Valorant gameplay last year in August. Simu Liu shared a streamable link with a simple tweet caption “ACE” and even admitted to watching the clip “hundreds of times.

This clip caught the attention of the Valorant community and even prompted the official Valorant account to comment. Riot Games wrote, “Actor✅ Author✅ Cracked Jett player✅ There's nothing he can't do🤩


While a lot of fans are excited to see his performance as one of the Kens in the upcoming Barbie movie, many of us gamers are eager to see what game Simu Liu picks up next.
