Previous Editions of Skyesports Championship

The Skyesports Championship series started two years ago in 2019. Its first edition was a LAN tournament that took place in Phoenix Market City, Chennai on the 23rd and 24th of March. It featured a total prize pool of just INR 3,00,000 split between PUBG Mobile, World Cricket Championship Rivals, and Clash Royale.

Back then PUBG Mobile was the main event out of the three featuring a prize pool of INR 5,00,000. This attracted participation from more than 800 squads, with the top 60 teams further competing at LAN.

The initial success resulted in Skyesports returning with the second edition of the tournament last year in 2020. This time it featured an increased total prize pool of INR 11,00,000 taking place online and featuring 6 esports titles in total. However, due to PUBG Mobile getting banned they had to go ahead with 5 titles.

This time the focus was on Valorant which had taken the country by storm, other titles included Brawlstars, Clash of Clans, Rainbow Six: Siege, and World Cricket Championship Rivals.
