1 Play Esports VALORANT Invitational India Announced
  • Singapore based esports organizers enter India to announce '1 Play Esports VALORANT Invitational India'.
  • The tournament features a prizepool of INR 50,000 and eight of the best teams from the country.
  • It is scheduled to take place over the course of two weekends starting 24 October.

VALORANT seems to be popping off in the South Asian region and the increasing player activity seems to have attracted a Singapore based tournament organizer into the fray. 1 Play Esports has announced its first competitive tournament for India called the ‘1 Play Esports VALORANT Invitational India’ featuring a prize pool of INR 50,000.

INR 50,000 VALORANT Tournament Announced By 1 Play Esports

Riot Games is leaving no stone unturned to cater to its growing VALORANT userbase. As promised the developers have launched both a MENA (the Middle East and North Africa) and a South Asian server before the end of the year, emboldening the growth of its esports scene in both these regions.

Not long after the servers went live, ‘1 Play Esports’ has entered the region with an invitational VALORANT tournament focused on India which will be featuring eight of the best teams from the country battling it out over the course of two weekends.

The teams invited for the INR 50,000 tournament are as follows,

  • Rebellious Gaming
  • TSF Gaming
  • RAD Syndicate
  • Team Tamilas
  • FAR Esports
  • Reckoning Esports
  • Noble Esports
  • Global Esports

These directly invited teams will compete in a single-elimination bracket where every match will be a best-of-three faceoff except for the finals which will feature a five-game series. The schedule of the invitational has been divided into three rounds taking place across two weekends as follows:

  • The first round will be taking place from 24th - 25th October starting at 14:00 hrs (IST). Two best-of-three matches will be played on both these days.

  • The second round will take place on 30th October starting at 18:00 hrs (IST). Two best-of-three semifinal matches will be played on this day.

  • The third round will take place on 31st October starting at 18:00 hrs (IST). The best-of-five finale will be played on this day.

The INR 50,000 prizepool will only be divided between the top two teams with the winners walking away with INR 35,000 while the runners-up take away the remaining INR 15,000. Everyone interested can tune in for the action on 1 Play Esports' Facebook and YouTube channels where all the matches will be livestreamed starting this Saturday, 14:00 hrs onwards.

1 Play Esports organizes grassroots level events in order to support local gaming and esports ecosystem. After having created a series of regular events in both Singapore and Indonesia for gamers across all levels in those countries, they now aim to replicate the same in South Asia.
