LGD announced on Twitter that former RNG top laner Langx and Dominus Esports mid laner Xiye have joined them for the upcoming LPL Summer Split 2020.

Langx, previously known as XiaoAL, has built his career as a steady top laner. He first started out on the now-disbanded T.Bear Gaming and then moved to Suning where he played for two years. He ended up being picked up by RNG over a year ago with some mixed results.

RNG put up a decent performance during this Spring Split but struggled in the playoffs due to the roster changes. They qualified for playoffs but got knocked out in the 1st round by EDward Gaming. The team greatly felt the lack of Uzi’s shotcalling, with Xiaolongbao unable to live up to his hype of being a promising jungler. That being said, Langx performed fairly well during the start of the Split as RNG beat both finalists TES and JDG in week 2 and 4.

Xiye started his career in 2013 as part of WE Academy and then moved to WE’s main roster. After 4 years on the team, he moved to Dominus Esports. Although he performed well, DMO couldn’t do well this Spring Split placing 14th in the standings.

With the new roster changes, LGD seems to be gearing up for giving the other teams tough competition in the LPL Summer Split which starts on 5th June.
