League of Legends Mid Season Cup Groups and Schedule Announced; First Match is T1 vs FPX

  • MSC will kick off at 3 PM SGT with T1 going up against FunPlus Phoenix.
  • Group stages will be Bo1 and both Semifinals and Finals will be Bo5.

As May 28th draws near, fans are excited to watch their favourite LPL and LCK teams face off. Riot Games has unveiled the Mid-Season Cup schedule that will be held from 28th to the 31st. The top four teams from the LCK and LPL spring season will participate in MSC which is being held in place of Mid-Season Invitational (MSI). MSC has a total prize pool worth $ 600,000.

The Mid Season Cup will kick off with an opening game at 3 PM SGT with LCK Spring 2020 champions T1 and last year's League of Legends World Champions FunPlus Phoenix going head to head. 

MSC Match Schedule

Group A matches starting at 3 pm SGT on the 28th May 

  • Game 1: Fun Plus vs T1
  • Game 2: Top Esports vs Damwon Gaming
  • Game 3: T1 vs Damwon Gaming
  • Game 4: Top Esports vs FunPlus
  • Game 6: Damwon Gaming vs FunPlus
  • Game 6: T1 vs Top Esports

Group B matches starting at 3 p.m. SGT on the 29th May

  • Game 1: JD Gaming  vs Gen.G
  • Game 2: DragonX vs Invictus Gaming
  • Game 3: DragonX vs Gen.G
  • Game 4: JD Gaming  vs Invictus Gaming
  • Game 5: Invictus Gaming vs Gen.G
  • Game 6: JD Gaming vs DragonX

The group stages will follow a Bo1 format with Group A playing their matches on the 28th while Group B plays on the 29th of May. On the 30th, the top two teams from the groups will go against each other in the semifinals at 1 PM SGT. The #1 team from Group A will go against the #2 team from Group B and vice versa. 

Both the semi-finals and finals will be played Bo5 with one set of matches being blind pick and the other sets will be played with draft picks. The finals will take place on 31st May at 5 PM SGT.
