- Bot adjustments updating coming up.
- Elemental Rift Upgrades also to come.
Riot Scruffy has come out with an update on some changes they’re going to implement to Marksmen, Elemental Rift and Summoner spells.
Marksmen Changes
In an attempt to buff the bot lane, Riot is planning some champion and role adjustments. “We think that the core pain point bot lane players are having isn’t a lack of damage, but survivability and self-reliance,” Scruffy said. The changes include an increase in base health, movement speed (MS) and other item buffs that will help ADCs survive burst and dodge skill shots better. Riot had initially revealed plans to make changes to ADCs at the beginning of May:
- Base HP +30 (across bot lane marksmen, except Lucian, Kalista and Vayne)
- HP per level is up by 2 points
- Zeal MS increased from 5% to 7%
- Phantom Dancer MS increased from 5% to 7%
- Rapid Firecannon MS increased from 5% to 7%
- Statikk Shiv MS: 5% to 7%
- Runaan's Hurricane MS increased from 7% to 9%
The base HP changes will also apply to every Marksman except Lucian, Vayne, and Kalista because these champs are also often seen in the top lane. So they will be getting changes based on scaling “to avoid the risk of them skewing solo lanes.”
Elemental Rift and Other Changes
Riot is adding a few minor things to Infernal and Cloud Rifts. Infernal Rift will now spawn additional Blast Cones in the jungle and alcoves while Cloud Rift will add more Scryers Blooms in the jungle. Wind speed areas will also now have increased effect for champions out of combat.
Other changes include buffs to summoners spells like Ghost as well as a few Keystone Runes. Guardian proc has been changed from “any damage” to a significant burst of damage so that there will be fewer cases where it triggers on tiny chip damage. Predator will now have a significantly reduced cooldown but also lower damage.
Other minor changes are to Unflinching, 10% tenacity increases to 30% on low health, and Approach Velocity where they will be removing the ally element. Now movement speed towards CCed enemies is doubled when the CC is applied by the player.
