XDefiant is an upcoming free-to-play, 6v6 shooter set in the Tom Clancy universe. The game is currently being developed by Ubisoft. XDefiant release date
There’s currently no official release date for XDefiant, but it will likely release in the second half of 2023. Ubisoft has been already undertaken a number of beta sessions, with a closed beta currently ongoing. XDefiant will be available on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, and Amazon Luna when it releases
XDefiant gameplay
XDefiant will feature players battling it out in a 6v6 configuration in arena and linear modes. Teams will face off in online arena matches, battling for territorial control in the modes Domination and Occupy. Ubisoft is also developing other modes for Arena matches.
The Linear modes will feature attackers and defenders contest shifting objective points in Zone control and push packages in Escort. The game features a number of iconic locations from Ubisoft's titles, with the developer set to add brand new maps in the future.
XDefiant features multiple factions with characters from other Ubisoft titles. Each character has unique abilities with synergies.
XDefiant closed beta dates
The current XDefiant closed beta test started on 13th April at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET / 6 PM BST. This beta test will last for 10 days, concluding on 23rd April at 11 AM PT / 2 PM ET / 7 PM BST.
