Sergio Aguero or Sergio Leonel Agüero del Castillo is a former Argentine professional footballer who played as a striker. The famed footballer got into esports and founded his own esports organization in 2020 and he also became a prominent Twitch streamer around the same time as he was recovering from an injury.

Here’s all we know about the esports organization that Sergio Aguero owns.

Founded in October 2020, Aregentine organization KRU Esports is focused with the goal of bringing the esports world to a wider audience with the support of Sergio Aguero as founder and CEO, helping narrow down the gap between the traditional and virtual sports scene.

CEO and Founder Aguero said, "I want everyone who joins KRU to love what they do, to feel comfortable. Encourage them and help them fulfill their dreams. What we do gives us the opportunity to make many people happy and I really like all of this. I want more people in the world to know it and enjoy it like I do."

Sergio Aguero's Advice to his Valorant team KRU Esports

Currently, KRU Esports is participating in Valorant Champions 2023 as a representative of North Americas league. KRU's opening match was against Paper Rex of the Pacific League on 9th August. After losing both Split and Pearl, KRU Esports has now been pushed down to the Eliminator match against EMEA's [Europe, Middle East and Africa] GIANTS on 11th August.

Though the series against Paper Rex was not a satisfactory one for KRU Esports, it had its CEO and Founder Sergio Aguero lend his support and cheers from the sidelines.

He briefly appeared on the official Riot Games broadcast to talk to Yinsu Collins in an interview. Sergio Aguero was asked what he told his team before the start of the event and was asked to share any advice he gave the players from the perspective of a championship-winning footballer.

I just told them to be calm and in sports what you have to do is be calm and confident and push forward. That is the way that you do it,” revealed Aguero.

Notably, KRU Esports made a miracle run to make it to Valorant Champions 2023 through a phenomenal run in the Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ) after having a very poor regular season. While the team went undefeated in the LCQ tournament, it had a contrasting regular split where it had not won a single series across the whole VCT 2023 season.
