Overwatch 2’s PVP beta ended on 17th May and the game is no longer accessible. The recently concluded beta offered a sneak peek into what kind of multiplayer content fans can expect from the “sequel.” If you participated in the beta and are excited to hop back into the game, Blizzard Entertainment has promised more information soon. Players may finally get a look at the player-versus-environment (PvE) content in the next beta, which is the main attraction of Overwatch 2.
When is the next Overwatch 2 beta coming?
Blizzard Entertainment announced that information about the next beta will be available on 16th June. Prior to the previous beta, Blizzard opened up registrations on the official website, allowing players to get a chance to be a part of the closed test. Beta access was also offered to players via Twitch streams, which allowed millions of players to get access. But the beta only offered players a look at what the new 5v5 gameplay is like.
Blizzard revealed in an official announcement that, “tests like this are a vital part of the process of improving Overwatch. We can’t wait to take everything we’ve learned from the beta and apply it to the game, and we’re so excited to get it back in front of you.”
In the official developer blog, Blizzard clarified that “this beta is just our first public test leading up to the future Overwatch 2 PvP release. Between now and then, we plan to add more content including heroes, maps, and features. There will be a significant amount of overall polish and refinement added in the form of enhanced UI, bug fixes, and more.”
Overwatch 2 has been in production for years and we are finally getting a look at what to expect once it launches. While we wait for the next Overwatch 2 beta, there is no official word on when the game will release. Players will get free access to all of the multiplayer content while the PvE content will be sold separately. Fans are excited to see how the Overwatch universe unfolds six years after its release.
