The mid-set or Set 9.5 in Teamfight Tactics (TFT) is called Runeterra Reforged: Horizonbound and Riot Games revealed all the major updates it has planned with this patch towards the end of August.

Riot Games initially teased Horizonbound, "Explore Bilgewater and Ixtal with Choncc in Runeterra Reforged: Horizonbound, where you’ll portal to new regions, uncover new comps, and equip an updated arsenal of items!"

Players were treated to featurettes about the Bilgewater trait and a new region called Rat Town on 21st August and through that week, players were introduced to other traits, new item changes, and more.

Apart from the already existing portals in Set 9, Set 9.5 Horizonbound is adding more unique ones from the regions of Bilgewater, Ixtal, and even Freljord.

Players are eagerly awaiting this mid-set to release so that they can start spamming their favorite pirate comps and Ixtali units. Here's all we know about the end date of TFT Set 9 and the commencement of TFT Set 9.5.

  • (5): 300 + 45% damage dealt

  • (7): 500 + 90% damage dealt

  • (4): Bonus Effect

Additionally, in this mid-set update, Riot Games is bringing forth a drastic change to the item system of TFT. The publisher noted, "We’re making huge quality of life changes to our Item system that will leave it in a better state for many sets to come."

The changes to the item system in TFT includes six new items, three adjusted items, a new support item class, an update to Artifact Items (that was previously called Ornn Forge Items), and many more.
