What Is the Cappa Juice in Arena Mode?
Arena is a 2v2v2v2 game mode for League of Legends where players go up against other duos across multiple maps over the course of several rounds, taking down the opponent team’s health until just one duo stands victorious. Arena mode has numerous exclusive, unique items. Riot Games has introduced these new ones apart from old ones, that have undergone certain changes. Notably, the shop in Arena mode features items belonging to different tiers of prices. One of the most interesting array of items is the ‘Juices’ that have replaced potions in this game mode.
One particular ‘Juice’ in Arena mode that has the community in splits is the “Cappa Juice.” Here’s all you need to know about this consumable item.
Juices in Arena Mode and Cappa Juice’s Usage
Riot Games said, “Don't quite have enough money for the item of your dreams? Consider knocking back a tasty Juice for a short-term buff, now available every round!”
Although players can't stack the same kind of Juice, they can drink different kinds of Juice together to get their cumulative effect. However, the Cappa Juice is the only exception.
Here’s what the Cappa Juice does in Arena mode:
“Get a SWEET HAT that lasts the entire match (with no other effect)”
Every time one drinks a Cappa Juice, their character gets a hat and the more Juices one consumes, the more hats that they can stack. The Cappa Juice costs 700 gold and sells for 280 gold.
The other Juices in Arena mode are:
Juice of Power : Grants Attack Damage (AD) / Ability Power (AP)
Juice of Vitality: Grants Health/Size
Juice of Haste: Grants Ability Haste
During a Reddit Ask Me Anything (AMA) with the Arena mode developers, one user asked an intriguing question about the Cappa Juice, “Why did you decide to make the hat potion cost as much as other potions instead of letting us delight in maximum hat overdrive by making it free or 50g? Why do you deny Hats?!”
To this, Lead Modes Designer Daniel “Maxw3ll” Emmons , “The hats are made of the finest quality materials. You think Choncc [shopkeeper] should sell them at a LOSS!?” He also added that the Modes team took inspiration from the Summoner’s Rift team that initially deployed this concept of stacking hats during the April’s Fool celebrations.
The 2023 League of Legends April Fool’s mode was live for a limited time and it was the talk of the town in the community. It was complete mayhem on Blind Pick Normal games with many different unique and funny features and interactions.
