Highlights
Apex Legends Season 14 will see some of the gold items being changed, with the gold knockdown shield losing its Resurrect ability.
The gold knockdown shield will receive the Guardian Angel perk instead of the gold backpack.
The gold backpack will receive Deeper Pockets, allowing players to carry additional medkits, batteries and phoenix kits.

Apex Legends Season 14 is making some big changes to the loot pool and some of the items in the gold (legendary) tier are also being affected. The gold knockdown shield’s Resurrect perk is being taken away and Guardian Angel from the gold backpack is being transferred to it. It is a massive buff to Newcastle as he relies on knockdown shields to revive teammates. He no longer needs to have a high-tier knockdown shield as well as a golden backpack to revive allies with Guardian Angel, as since Season 14 just a gold knockdown shield will suffice.

All gold items in Apex Legends

Here is a rundown of all the gold items in Apex Legends and what they do:

Gold Helmet

Helmets received a massive buff in Season 14 and they significantly reduce headshot damage. The gold variant of the helmet reduces headshot damage by 50% and reduces ultimate recharge time by 20%.

The headshot damage reduction can be confusing for some players. The bonus damage on headshots is reduced by 50% and not the entirety of the damage. If a body shot from a Longbow deals 55 damage and a headshot deals 110 damage, you will take 83 damage instead.

Gold Body Shield

Players with a gold body shield receive double the healing from all items. Shield cells and Syringes offer you 50 shields and 50 HP respectively with the Gold Body Shield while other items do not offer any benefits as they fully recharge your shield, health or both anyway.

Gold Knockdown Shield

The gold knockdown shield has the Guardian Angel perk and it allows players to revive teammates with increased shield and health . The item is highly effective with Gibraltar, Lifeline, and Newcastle.

Gold Backpack

The gold backpack now has Deeper Pockets, which allows players to carry one extra Phoenix kit, Medkit and Shield Battery in their respective stacks.

Digital Threat (1X and 4-10X Scopes)

Both the Digital Threat scopes highlight visible enemies. Enemies are highlighted even through smoke, gas, and other visual obstructions but not through solid objects or walls.

Gold Magazines

Gold magazines increase your magazine size and also automatically reload your holstered weapons that have the attachment equipped.

Skullpercier Rifling

Increases headshot damage for 30-30 Repeater, Longbow, and Wingman.

Turbocharger

Increases weapon spin-up time for Devotion and Havoc.

Barrel Stabilizer

Recoil and weapon flash reduction. Not available in Season 14.

Anvil Receiver

Increases damage in alternate fire mode for R301 and Flatline at the expense of higher ammo consumption. Not available in Season 14.
