With the release of Modern Warfare 3, Call of Duty players are excited to get a glimpse of the new map Urzikstan, which will launch during Season 1. The map set in Western Asia, will feature 11 new Points of Interest (POIs) for players to explore and battle in. The Warzone Urzikstan Map will be released with Season 1 of Modern Warfare 3 on 6th December 2023. Following the trend of earlier release times, we can expect the Season 1 update to go live at 9 am PT. The update will be available across all platforms the game is currently on, including PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
Warzone Urzikstan Map: Overview
According to the developers, Urzikstan is, “positioned in Western Asia on the eastern border of the Black Sea, and plays an important role in the Modern Warfare series.” Urzikstan borders the Republic of Adal — the location of Call of Duty: Warzone’s Al Mazrah map and is controlled by dictator Roman Barkov.

Seaport District
Urzikstan Cargo
Old Town

Some players may be familiar with POIs like the Orlov Military Base featuring the Countdown map from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and the Seaport District which houses the multiplayer map Seaport, as well as the Overwatch map from the original MW3.
You can explore the upcoming map before the Season 1 update goes live. The new Urzikstan map features in Modern Warfare 3’s Zombies survival sandbox mode. While you won’t be able to fight other players as of now, you can still use this time to familiarize yourself with different areas of the map.
Simply launch Modern Warfare 3 and navigate to the Zombie mode from your playlist. Once in the lobby, begin the session and you will deploy to the new Urzikstan map. You can now freely move around and complete objectives and safely exfil. Note that since this is a zombie mode, you’ll have to take out hoards of the undead as you make your way towards the center of the map.
