After an exciting year of action-packed and eventful Valorant games, the Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) Pacific League is back in 2024 with a bang. Quite a lot has changed over one year. With the addition of promoted teams from 2023, each International League, including VCT Pacific, will put forth 11 teams who shall compete for the title of Valorant World Champion at the end of the year.

If you are not aware of the competition format this year, you should know that teams will first play in a Kickoff tournament, followed by two stages of inter-league competition. Following this, there will also be two Masters tournaments for qualifying for Valorant Champions 2024.

VCT Pacific Kickoff 2024 Tournament Explained

The Kickoff Tournament will begin in February for all regions. In this tournament, two teams per league will qualify for Valorant Masters Madrid 2024. Riot Games said, "We loved starting last season by establishing the best team in the world, and the combination of Kickoff and Masters will create clear front runners regionally and internationally."

The VCT Pacific Kickoff 2024 tournament is scheduled to take place between 17th and 25th February. From the eleven teams competing, only two will get to participate in Valorant Masters Madrid 2024.

VCT Pacific Kickoff 2024 Tournament Format Explainer

VCT Pacific Kickoff is going to be split into three phases: Group Stage, Play-ins, Playoffs. Teams will fight through a total of 19 matches across eight days of competition.

Group stage will be played in a GSL format with 11 teams seeded randomly into three groups. As Pacific Champions last year, PRX will be automatically seeded into Group C.

Then, the Play-ins stage will be structured in a single round-robin format. The four remaining teams that make it through will qualify for Playoffs, where they will fight through a single elimination bracket.

The top two teams from VCT Pacific Kickoff 2024 will earn a spot at Masters Madrid, the first global VCT event for the year.

VCT Pacific Kickoff 2024 Event Schedule

VCT Pacific Kickoff will begin on 17th February and will run until 25th February. Matches will begin at the following times:

  • Group stage (17th - 21st February)

    • Matches on 17th, 19th and 21st February will start from 15:00 KST // 14:00 GMT+8

    • Matches on 18th and 20th February will start from 17:00 KST // 16:00 GMT+8

  • Play-ins (22nd February): Matches will start from 15:00 KST // 14:00 GMT+8

  • Playoffs (24th - 25th February): Matches will start from 17:00 KST // 16:00 GMT+8

Apart from fighting for a chance to qualify for global events, Pacific teams will also be fighting for a total prize pool of $250,000 USD. So, the stakes are higher than before!
