VCT Lock In Capsule & Misericórdia Melee: Price, Variants, How to Get

Riot Games announced the release of a limited-edition capsule collection called the Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) Lock In Capsule to commemorate the start of its international leagues in the newly introduced partnership model. The Lock In Capsule is aimed at giving fans an opportunity to express their regional league’s fandom. The capsule features a knife or the Misericórdia melee, different player cards along with a spray. Here’s all you need to know about the VCT Lock In, the Lock In Capsule, the Misericórdia melee, and their release dates.

VCT Lock In Capsule: What is it? What does it contain?

The Lock In tournament will feature 32 teams battling for bragging rights, prizes, and the chance to earn their region an extra spot at VCT Masters Tokyo in 2023. Fans will be able to support their respective regions with the exclusive, limited-time Misericórdia melee, player cards, and a new spray.

Riot Games added, “From February 8th - March 7th, 50% of net proceeds from the collection will be shared among VCT partner teams.”

The different variants of the player cards are specifically for: 

• VCT Americas 2023 Card

• VCT Pacific 2023 Card

• VCT EMEA 2023 Card

What is the Misericórdia melee?

The Misericórdia melee is the knife in this bundle and it has four different variants. VCT Americas region is represented by the green color variant, VCT Pacific by the blue one, VCT EMEA by the purple colored variant, and lastly, the whole of the VCT circuit is represented by the red variant.

Lock In Capsule cost and release date

The price of the Lock In Capsule that contains the Misericórdia melee has not been revealed yet by Riot Games. However, players must bear in mind that the previous VCT event bundles were priced at around $60 USD.

Riot Games will add the capsule to the Valorant store on 8th February and it will be up for sale till 7th March. Notably, the items of the Lock In Capsule will not return to the in-game store or the Night Market. Additionally, you will not be able to purchase these items individually since they can only be bought as a bundle. 

The VCT Lock In tournament in Sao Paulo, Brazil is set to kick off on 13th February and end on 5th March. The event will feature a single-elimination format but Riot Games stated that future LAN events will have double-elimination brackets. The regions are paired into 16 first round match-ups, with each match-up consisting of two team slots.
