The Valorant Premier Global Open Beta launched on 26th April and has gotten fans excited about building a team and competing for the crown of champions. Riot Games conducted the Alpha phase of Premier last year in Brazil and incorporated player feedback to improve the experience. However, despite the many improvements, Valorant Premier is likely to have more bugs. One such bug players are encountering comes up as ‘error sending a team invite’. Riot Games is trying to address all the bugs players are encountering in the global open beta which began a few days ago. The developer has set up a megathread on Reddit to address all the possible bugs players may encounter while testing out Valorant Premier.
One of the possible solutions to error sending a team invite for Valorant Premier involves having teammates verify their phone numbers in the game client (if they have not yet completed this step). Another possible solution provided by Reddit user MrSpeedoMan involves an additional step before number verification. That is to enable 2-Factor Authentication (2FA) for your online Riot account on Riot's website and confirm the email 2FA is enabled. Confirm their email is verified. Note that 2FA could be active even though the email was not confirmed. In the Valorant client, go to the tournament tab from the main menu and input their phone number.
Another possible solution, if you keep encountering this error, is to temporarily unlink your phone number even if you already linked your phone number in the past and try linking it again. According to user Exciting_Society8667, this worked. Riot usually has a six month wait period before you can link your account to another phone number, however, according to the user, the developer has waived the wait period for the duration of the Valorant Premier beta.
If while inputting the phone number, you get an error saying, “something went wrong”, you can try some possible solutions. According to Reddit user Spirited_Peak_6664, manually putting in the dashes for your number, making it look like ‘XXX-XXX-XXXX’ helped.

As mentioned before, Riot Games has set up a megathread on the Valorant subreddit for players to bring up any bugs they encounter while trying to play in the global beta and discuss possible solutions. Click here to navigate to the thread and report the bug. Try to attach a screenshot or a video with the comment for a better understanding of the situation. You can also list the steps used to recreate the bugs. This helps Rioters recreate the bug and helps them find the cause behind it.
