Riot Games’ free-to-play first-person hero shooter Valorant was released in 2020 and in two years, the game has expanded leaps and bounds, by adding an array of new agents and maps for players to choose between. In these three and a half years, Valorant has grown a loyal fan base with players casually enjoying the game and also grinding through the ranked ladders day-in and day-out.
While the game initially came out, it had only four maps available and a total of 11 starting agents, of which only five were available to play immediately. Today, Valorant has ten maps and offers over 20 agents for players to choose from.
While Riot Games often rolls out new agents, maps, and cosmetics for its gun collection, it has not experimented with releasing new guns. However, this is about to change very soon as rumors and leaks suggest that there is a new sniper gun in the making in Valorant and that it shall be released soon.
Called the Outlaw Sniper, this speculated weapon will be joining the humble Marshal and the destructive Operator soon. Here's all we know about the Outlaw Sniper in Valorant.
New Valorant Sniper Outlaw In the Making?
Several leaked images on Twitter showcased a seemingly new addition to Valorant's arsenal. A snipe called “Outlaw” will reportedly be added to the game soon and is likely to cost 2400 Credits. If the leaks turn out to be true, Outlaw will be the first weapon addition to the game since its release.
According to the leaked images on social media, this sniper rifle will be found in between the already existing Marshal and Operator guns in the Buy menu.
Leaks also suggest that the Outlaw sniper rifle will be double-barreled and will fire two bullets at once like Shorty. This new sniper will also reportedly kill those enemies who have purchased only half shields.
Notably, each Outlaw body shot will reportedly inflict 140 damage upon hit. With Outlaw costing 2400 credits and killing enemies with half shields, it will be a worthy purchase. If these information are accurate, players will soon say goodbye to the half-armor meta.
When Is Valorant Outlaw Releasing?
Reputed leaker in the community, ValorLeaks wrote on Twitter, "The Outlaw Sniper, a brand new weapon will be releasing at the launch of Episode 8."
It is to be noted that Valorant Episode 8 is set to go live on 10th January 2024. This means that Outlaw will debut right on time to change the meta ahead of Premier and Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) 2024 season.
