Highlights
Augments make up a huge part of the gameplay of Teamfight Tactics (TFT).
Here's all you need to know about the Prismatic Final Reserves Augment.

Augments were first introduced to Teamfight Tactics (TFT) through Set 6 Gizmos and Gadgets as the main mechanic. They became permanent in the game starting with TFT Set 8: Monsters Attack. Augments are basically permanent bonuses that are added to the player's hexcore. They are classified based on their rarity: Silver, Gold, and Prismatic. Notably, at stages 1-4, 3-3, and 4-6, players are offered three choices of Augments and rerolls.

The Final Reserves Augment is a Prismatic one offered in TFT Set 9 Runeterra Reforged. A lot of players consider this an OP (overpowered) augment in the game. Here's all you need to know about it.

What is the Prismatic Final Reserves Augment?

The Augment has a unique twist to it that comes in handy as a gamechanger towards the late game. The description reads, "The first time you would be eliminated or reduced to 1 Health, instead remain alive. After this effect triggers, at the beginning of your next planning phase gain 80 XP and 40 gold."

This will allow you to level up to Max level 9 and also field high-cost (5 gold) units. When your backs are up against the wall, this Final Reserves Augment can help you turn around the game.

Talking about how strong this Augment is, one Redditor posted, "So can we talk about the prismatic augment final reserve? When you drop to 1hp you basically get a free level 9 and another 25 gold. Combined with hedge fund it just seems too strong. When I hit level 9 I had almost 170 gold and was able to instantly hit my Senna 3 and win the game within 8 rounds. I think the 80xp it gives, is just too much."

Some of the best traits for this augment are as follows, according to metasrc.com:

  • Piltover

  • Yordle

  • Invoker

  • Slayer

  • Shadow Isles

  • Demacia

  • Bruiser

  • Targon

  • Zaun

  • Juggernaut

  • Ionia

  • Sorcerer

  • Freljord

  • Bastion

  • Deadeye

Best augment synergies with Final Reserves

Let us go through all the augments that work really well with Final Reserves:

Prismatic:

1. Final Ascension: Your units deal 15% more damage. After 15 seconds, this effect triples.

2. Hedge Fund++: Gain 44 gold. Your maximum interest is increased to 10

Gold:

1. Last Stand: The first time you would be eliminated or reduced to 1 Health, instead remain alive. After this effect triggers, your units permanently gain 180 Health, 18 Armor and Magic Resist, and 18% Omnivamp.

Note that Riot Games recently nerfed economy Augments that are centered around gold and XP in LoL Patch 13.14. Likewise, in LoL Patch 13.15, Riot Games has disabled the Medium-End Shopping Augment, which also works really well with Final Reserves.

Medium End Shopping: Champions appear in the first 3.0 slots of your Shop as if you were 1 level higher.
