Teamfight Tactics Patch 13.16 Notes: The Biggest Changes
In the ever-evolving world of Teamfight Tactics (TFT), the competitive landscape is always in flux, and with every new patch comes a fresh wave of changes that can shake up the game meta. With Patch 13.16, Riot Games is pulling no punches, bringing a flurry of changes to the likes of Demacia, Yasuo and Samira. There are also multiple changes to traits, units, and artifacts that could impact the current meta.
Here are some of the bigger changes in this Patch 13.16 for TFT.
Demacia Dominance: Power Surge and Trait Revamp
Demacia is taking center stage in Patch 13.16 with a substantial power surge. Demacia 7 and 9 are undergoing dramatic changes, infusing these traits with heightened potency. Now, players can unleash the full potential of 4 and 6 Demacian Elites, creating opportunities for a formidable Demacia-focused strategy. To balance this increased might, some Elite bonus resistances are being adjusted.
Official changes:
Demacia Elite Count: 1/2/3/5 ⇒ 1/2/4/6
Demacia Elite Armor & MR: 5/25/60/125 ⇒ 5/30/50/100
Champion Overhauls: Yasuo and Samira
Yasuo is undergoing a noteworthy rework that aims to make him a more formidable force on the battlefield. This involves increasing his AD and AP ratios, allowing him to shine without relying solely on Rapid Firecannon for backline hits.
Official changes:
Yasuo Last Breath Range no longer scales with Attack Range
Yasuo Health: 950 ⇒ 1000
Yasuo Last Breath AD ratio: 475/475/1500% ⇒ 500/500/1500%
Yasuo Last Breath AP ratio: 50/75/300% ⇒ 55/85/300%
Samira is also facing substantial nerfs. These adjustments are aimed at curbing her overpowering potential while retaining her utility. By reducing the armor reduction and enhancing her base spell, Samira becomes a balanced carry option with less dominance against tanks.
Official changes:
Samira Flair AD ratio: 175% ⇒ 200/200/210%
Samira Flair Armor reduction: 20/25/30 ⇒ 10/15/20
Samira Flair can no longer reduce Armor below 0
Augments and Artifacts: Strategic Evolution
TFT Patch 13.16 also introduces changes to augment gameplay diversity and maintain balance. Portable Forge is seeing tweaks to limit early-game options, encouraging players to adapt their strategies as the game progresses. Additionally, All That Shimmers, a powerful Augment, is being adjusted to prevent excessive early econ advantages.
Official changes:
Ascension Damage Amp: 45% ⇒ 50%
Challenger Crown now grants: Rapid Firecannon ⇒ Hand of Justice
Dueling Gunners initial Attack Speed: 5% ⇒ 8%
Endless Hordes Gold 8 ⇒ 6
NEW: Added Endless Hordes+ at 4-2 only, which gives 9 gold.
Frequent Flier rolls required: 10 ⇒ 8
Haunted Shell (Shadow Isles) Stacking Resistances: 10 ⇒ 13
Lategame Specialist can no longer be offered with Level Up! (and vice versa)

What The Forge: You’re now slightly less likely to get multiple copies of the same item, especially Obsidian Cleaver.
TFT Patch 13.16 brings a breath of fresh air into a meta that was getting a little stale. These substantial changes could have a significant impact on reducing the dominance of Demacia, Yasuo, and Samira.
The patch also brings various other changes including Kayle being transformed to become more playable in Stage 2, enabling a more well-rounded experience even if she isn't rerolled. Ashe, once seen predominantly as a support unit, is being refocused to thrive as a carry. Swain, a champion with varying performance across different star levels, is being reconfigured to find a stronger foothold as a late-game option.
