Chapter 5 Season 2 brings the Greek Mythological Era to the immersive world of Fortnite, featuring NPCs like Zeus, Hades, Cerberus, Medusa, and more. To relive this mystical period, the devs have also made changes to the map, now showcasing legendary locations like Mount Olympus, The Underworld, etc.
However, things don’t seem to stop here, as several rumors suggest that the iconic Slurp Juice will once again return to Fortnite as part of Season 2. Many also speculate that there will be quests associated with obtaining this useful consumable. Without further ado, let’s delve into everything we know so far.
Slurp Juice Task Will Mark You on the Map in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2
This news comes from Fortnite Creator @FN_Assist who mentions that the Slurp Juice will be paired alongside Gold Bars and can be acquired by completing the Shadow Briefing mini-challenges which will appear mid-game. Accepting this task will then mark you on the map, revealing your position to all players, and a timer will begin for two minutes. Surviving this will grant you the Gold Bars and the consumable.
“Mark yourself on the map. Survive [duration] for Slurp Juice and Bars”, reads the description of this Shadow Briefing. Although the creator claims the time span to be two minutes, it is still unsure and might change when it is actually showcased in the game.
While this system adds a layer of difficulty in obtaining the Slurp Juice, restricting the consumable to this random mini-challenge will most likely not be the only way, and you might be able to purchase it through Vending Machines spread across the map and also find it inside chests as well as drops, after taking down your opponents
Regardless of this, many players are overjoyed to see this consumable item added back to Fortnite’s loot pool. Slurp Juice has always been a favorite among players, thanks to its passive healing abilities which are a lifesaver when dealing with Tick Storms. Although many changes were made to its stats, it still remained one of the most used consumables in the game.
Although there has been no official confirmation from Fortnite, we can expect to see this sometime before the end of Season 2 updates, which concludes on 24th May. If these rumors are true, it could significantly change the game’s current meta and possibly balance out the devastating damage taken from the Thunderbolt Mythic.
