Halloween is just a few weeks away and Overwatch 2 is all set to celebrate it alongside the players with the Halloween Terror Event 2023 which releases as part of Season 7: Rise of Darkness.
This event will consist of multiple fun game modes available under the Arcade section, a special limited-time shop, a new set of challenges, and plenty of cosmetics.
Apart from this, the new update will witness the release of a new map called Samoa, multiple Heroes undergoing balance changes, a few changes being implemented to Route 66, and a brand new themed battle pass.

Overwatch 2 Halloween Terror Event 2023: Start Date, End Date, Duration
The celebrations for Halloween are scheduled to start from 10th October onwards along with Overwatch 2 Season 7, several weeks in advance, and will be coming to an end on 1st November.
Running for a total duration of three weeks, the Halloween Terror Event will comprise of three game modes, new limited-time shop, and new challenges, which upon completion shall reward players with cosmetic items, battle pass experience, credits, and more.

Overwatch 2 Halloween Terror Event 2023: Game Modes
Overwatch 2 developers have revealed that there will be three game modes in total that will be arriving in the Arcade section.
While nothing has been officially confirmed about their schedule, it is being assumed that one game mode will be presented to the players every seven days, across three weeks of the event.

This is going to be the first-ever Blizzard crossover between Overwatch 2 and Diablo IV. In this limited-time, co-op survival game mode, players will face waves of demons along with challenging bosses like Azmodan Wrecking Ball, Butcher Roadhog, and Lilith Moira.
The players will have to come together as a unit and select one of the six different Heroes available for the game mode: Demon Hunter Sombra, Barbarian Zarya, Night Raven Illari, Cleric Lifeweaver, Imperious Reinhardt, and Inarius Pharah.

All three game modes will be carrying certain challenges of their own. rewarding players who manage to complete them with battle pass experience, cosmetic items, and credits.
However, these challenges have not been revealed yet and will only be known once the event goes live on 10th October, following which this space will be updated.

There are a total of four skins that are released as part of the Trials of Sanctuary game mode but are not directly associated with it. This means that players might have to purchase them separately or unlock them by doing something not directly related to the Halloween Terror Event 2023.

Overwatch 2 Halloween Terror Event 2023: Halloween Terror Credits Shop
This is a special limited-time shop that will be part of the Halloween event and will be available in Overwatch 2 from 10th October to 7th November. It will allow players to unlock Heroes and purchase returning skins using Overwatch Credits.
This is the first time that players will get an opportunity to unlock Heroes like Sojourn, Junker Queen, Kiriko, Ramattra, and Lifeweaver directly through Credits, available for only one week from 10th to 17th October.
Apart from this, players will also be able to purchase returning skins including Gilded Hunter Sombra Legendary Skin, Demon Hunter Sombra Remix Skin, and more, available for the entire duration of the shop.
