The developers are set to celebrate this milestone with the Overwatch 2 Anniversary Event 2023, consisting of multiple former game modes returning to the game and bringing some free rewards along for everyone to enjoy.

Overwatch 2 is about to turn one year old and birthday celebrations are scheduled to start a few weeks in advance with fun game modes, a limited-time special anniversary shop, and some fantastic rewards for which players will be required to complete certain challenges.

The birthday celebrations are scheduled to start from 19^th September, Tuesday onwards, several weeks in advance, coming to an end on 10^th October, Tuesday, after running for a total duration of three weeks.

All three weeks will have new events and challenges in store for the entire community, upon completion of which certain rewards will be handed out to players in the form of battle pass experience, cosmetic items, and overwatch credits.

Overwatch 2 developers have revealed that there will be multiple returning game modes that will be arriving in the Arcade section along with a dedicated new anniversary shop consisting of some fantastic skins from the past.

  Summer Games (Lúcioball, Winston’s Beach Volleyball), Mischief & Magic

Every week will consist of their own set of challenges granting players some cosmetic rewards, plenty of battle pass experience, and guaranteed 1000 overwatch credits which they can spend in the new limited-time anniversary shop, albeit they complete all tasks.
