With the MSI 2023 just around the corner, Riot Games released information about the new, exclusive drops it has in store for the tournament.
Here's all you need to know about drops containing emotes, icons and other exclusive in-game items during MSI 2023.

Riot Games and League of Legends Esports (LoL Esports) stated at the start of this year that they will be working hard to add more exciting features and rewards to drops. These include reaction drops that highlight cool moments that happen live in-game including new emotes and icons. Riot Games said these rewards shall be rolled out in waves throughout the 2023 competitive calendar and additional types of rewards shall be released during the year when made available.

With the Mid-Season Invitational (MSI) 2023 just around the corner, the publisher released information about the new, exclusive drops it has in store for the tournament.

What are the MSI 2023 exclusive drops?

Introducing the drops for MSI 2023, Riot Games said, “MSI is finally here, and we’re excited to share brand new rewards with our players! By sitting back, relaxing and simply watching MSI on LoLEsports.com (don’t forget to log in!), you have a chance to receive in-game drops!

The publisher has created new emotes and icons that showcase League of Legends champions and adorable Poros to celebrate the tournament. Additionally, Riot Games has also designed an exclusive Master Yi emote that will be released during MSI 2023.

While there is no official information on the full list of emotes and icons to look out for, players can look forward to getting their hands on the special Master Yi emote.

Free drops to look out for:

  • New emotes

  • New Icons

  • Inkshadow Master Yi emote exclusive

MSI 2023

Fans should expect various emotes and icons to be given out during the event. Once players have received a drop, the drop card will have instructions on how to redeem them.

By logging in to LoLEsports.com with your Riot ID, you will be able to catch a free drop whenever it happens. Most drops are randomized and can occur at any given time during a match. Every time you witness a Pentakill, Quadrakill, Drake steal, or Baron steal, you will be eligible for a drop. However, do not worry if you have not received your drop for the first few days since it is very normal. On the contrary, you could even receive more than one drop in a single day.

Fans should note that drops only come from the live broadcasts and are not available by watching past videos on demand (VODs.) So make sure to tune into the LoL Esports website live from 2nd May through 21st May to obtain these limited-time rewards.
