Is Escape From Tarkov coming to Steam?

Escape from Tarkov's developer Battlestate Games has plans to bring the game to Steam eventually. In an interview with Wccftech in 2016, former programmer at Battlestate Games Pavel Dyatlov said that they do have plans to launch the game on Steam, “We will first release the game on our platform and then we will launch on Steam, that’s the plan.” In the same interview, Dyatlov also mentioned that they had plans to bring the game to consoles.

This was confirmed again, by Battlestate Games COO Nikita Buyanov in an interview with GameSpot. Buyanov said the game would support modding after its release on Steam. Battlestate would “provide assets and guidelines for creation of derivative works; if all the requirements are observed, we will clear these creations for addition to the game, but that's about it. Since it's an online game, we can't allow completely uncontrolled modding.”
