Call of Duty: Warzone and Modern Warfare 3 (MW3) Season 2 is the first big update of the year. The new season brings a new weapon to the game called the SOA Subverter. The rifle joins Ranked Play in Call of Duty: Warzone among other features coming to the game along with the returning map, Fortune’s Keep. The SOA Subverter can be unlocked by completing certain challenges in the game. Here is all we know about how to unlock the SOA Subverter in MW3 and Warzone.
SOA Subverter in Warzone and Modern Warfare 3
The SOA Subverter in Warzone and Modern Warfare 3 is described in-game as, “Chambered in 7.62, this hard-hitting rifle dominates at mid to longer ranges thanks to a low rate of fire and predictable recoil." The 7.62 NATO caliber gun will use Sniper Ammo in Battle Royale. The rifle was featured in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III. Players will have to wait till later in the season for weapon stats on the SOA Subverter.
How to unlock the SOA Subverter in MW3 and Warzone
According to the Season 2 Roadmap, there are four new weapons coming to the game. The SOA Subverter will be unlockable later ‘in-season’ by completing a certain Weekly Challenge. Unfortunately, details about the Weekly Challenge needed to unlock the SOA Subverter in MW3 and Warzone has not been announced. Players will have to wait till Activision decides to release more information about the Weekly Challenge.
Out of the four new weapons coming to the game this season, the BP50 Assault Rifle and RAM-9 Submachine Gun will be available in the free tiers of the Battle Pass, while the SOA Subverter Battle Rifle and Soulrender melee weapon will both be available later in the season.
Once the Challenges are unlocked, you’ll need to head to the Challenges tab to see the list of tasks you need to complete to get the SOA Subverter. These challenges usually require you to get various kinds of kills with particular weapon classes, complete contracts, and open chests.
The current Week 1 Challenge Reward includes the JAK Tyrant 762 Kit for the Longbow sniper rifle. Completing five challenges this week will get you this reward.
