How to Unlock M13B Assault Rifle in Modern Warfare 2

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone have gone live and players are experiencing everything new the game has to offer. Four new weapons have been added to Modern Warfare 2 including the the M13B assault rifle. Two of the season's weapons are found within the free tiers of the battle pass while the M13B can be unlocked through the DMZ in-game challenge. Here is how to unlock M13B assault rifle in Modern Warfare 2. 

How to unlock M13B assault rifle in Modern Warfare 2

The M13B assault rifle is available in the mid-season, along with the BAS-P SMG and Chimera assault rifle. You can unlock the rifle for free by completing a challenge in the new DMZ exfiltration mode. The M13B is unlocked by defeating the Chemist in the radiation zone in DMZ and extracting his dropped weapon. The radiation zone is marked by the yellow circle on the map.

Drop in to the map and navigate towards the zone where you’ll have to get into a PvE fight against the Chemist. 

Make sure to get gas masks from the Buy Station for $2,000 to survive in the radiation zone. You will have to scavenge enough loot to buy the gas mask before you can take on the Chemist. However, the Chemist only spawns once per map so you’ll have to beat the other squads to him. In case you take too long to buy a gas mask, it is advisable to exfiltrate after you get the mask so you have it at the start of the next game. You can exfiltrate by heading to any of the blue icons marked on the map.

It is also a good idea to squad up before you try and take on this PvE boss fight so you have a better chance of beating him. Once you finish the fight, you can immediately exfiltrate to complete the challenge and get the assault rifle. The M13B has a high fire rate and low recoil. There is currently no way to unlock the M13B in multiplayer or Warzone 2.0.
