Horizon is the next legend to get a Heirloom in Apex Legends.
Here’s all you need to know about unlocking the Gravity Maw.

Horizon, the Scottish scientist, is the latest agent who received a brand new heirloom in Apex Legends through the Dressed to Kill Collection event, which is scheduled to start on 20th June. Horizon’s heirloom is called Gravity Maw and it is the 19th exclusive one in the game.

Heirlooms are the most sought-after cosmetics in Apex Legends and are legend-specific melee items that players can buy by spending Heirloom Shards obtained from Apex Packs.

Players have been awaiting this one for a long time and their pleas have finally been heard by Respawn Entertainment in Season 17. As mentioned before, it will be a part of the Dressed to Kill Collection event and here’s all you need to know about how to get your hands on the Gravity Maw.

Unlocking Horizon Heirloom: Gravity Maw

The Dressed to Kill Collection event will go live tomorrow 20th June at 10 am PT / 1 pm ET / 6 pm BST. The event will be live in the game for two weeks and will end on 4th July. As a result, you will have a new patch dropping that you have to download to access the collection event.

To unlock Horizon’s Gravity Maw Heirloom in Apex Legends, you have two options. The first one is to participate in the Dressed to Kill Collection event and the other is to get it from the Mythic Store.

In the two weeks that the event is live, the Horizon Heirloom will be available through the exclusive, limited-time event store. When you unlock all 24 limited-time event cosmetics from the store, either with Apex Coins or Crafting Metals, you will automatically receive Horizon’s Heirloom as a bonus reward.

Every collection event has 24 cosmetics that you need to craft, unlock via a pack, or buy with coins. Buying the packs is the cheapest way to get your hands on the cosmetics if you are not spending crafting materials. Apex Packs are loot boxes that provide random cosmetic items.

Notably, each pack is 700 Coins and the Collection Event packs always contain at least one item from the Collection Event they come from and you cannot get duplicates. Electronic Arts adds a couple of special pack bundles which reduces the amount of coins you need to spend by a lot. As a result, it is recommended to purchase as many as packs you need until you get to a total of 24 cosmetics to unlock the Heirloom.

In its blog post, Respawn Entertainment said, “We’re bringing the drip with 24 slick limited-time cosmetics, with Legendary skins for Crypto, Horizon, Mad Maggie, and more! Unlock all 24 before the end of the event and you’ll automatically receive our latest Heirloom, Horizon’s Gravity Maw.

If you are not in a position to buy the cosmetics during the event, you will have to sit tight and wait until the Horizon Heirloom enters the Mythic Store after the end of Dressed to Kill event. Once it is in the Mythic Store, the Horizon Heirloom – Gravity Maw – will be available for direct purchase for a cost of 150 Heirloom Shards.

Players should note that the Apex Legends Heirlooms are purely for cosmetic use only and serve no gameplay purpose so you should not force yourself to buy them unless you want to support the game or really like the upcoming cosmetics.
