Ubisoft just announced a new free-to-play FPS game, ‘Tom Clancy’s XDefiant’, and a closed testing version which will be available next month. If you want to try out the new game which will combine elements from Ghost Recon, Splinter Cell, and Ghost Recon, a pre-registration page is open. If you get access to the beta, you will be able to invite up to five friends via Ubisoft Connect to play with you. You will also be able to get into the beta, if one of your friends get access to the game. Here is how you can sign up for the Tom Clancy’s XDefiant Beta.

Tom Clancy’s XDefiant Beta Overview

The new game is being headed by Ubisoft San Francisco’s executive producer, Mark Rubin and creative director, Jason Srhoeder. Players will be able to pick characters known as Defiants from specific factions, which are based on existing Tom Clancy titles. It will feature 6v6 PVP gameplay and it directly competes with the likes of Call of Duty’s multiplayer modes and Overwatch.

The upcoming beta will be available from 5th August for a limited period for citizens from USA and Canada only. However, you can try creating a fresh Ubisoft account and set your country to one of those two regions to get access to the game. More tests will be available later this year and a public beta will be available in Winter 2021.

Anyone who gets access to the limited-time test will be able to invite up to five friends via Ubisoft Connect. If you do not get access, you can request one of your friends (if they have access) to grant you beta access when the beta goes live.
