Just like most online multiplayer games you’re bound to run into some toxic teammates in Valorant. Toxicity not only messes with individual player mindset but can also stop everyone from working together as a team. This is especially true for clutch situations or in an overtime round. Sometimes the best way to deal with this situation is to mute players and focus on your gameplay. There are several options in Valorant to block communication from players in the game, starting from the agent select screen. Here is how to mute players in Valorant.

If a player is toxic in agent select, you can mute them by clicking the speaker icon next to them. If you don’t want voice chat you can disable voice chat by accessing the settings through the main menu. In settings, go to the Audio tab and select the Voice Chat tab under it. Here you can select whether or not to enable party voice chat and team voice chat. You can also select between Automatic and Push to Talk for party voice activation. Team voice chat is only available as push-to-talk.

Players can mute other players in Valorant completely by opting out of voice chat.
