In LEGO Fortnite, you can find Obsidian in the Dry Valley biome, inside the lava caves. However, these caves are much more dangerous than those found in the Grasslands biome.
When heading out to Lava caves, use something that will grant you protection from high temperatures, such as Snow Berries.
Inside the lava caves, Obsidian should look like a dark purple stone. Use your rare Pickaxe and start mining it.

What Do You Require For Getting Obsidian?
For mining obsidian, you will need a rare level or above pickaxe. If this is your first time going to the Dry Valley, you'll also need a bunch of upgraded tools to get resources and upgrade your crafting bench.
Make sure to bring quite a bit of wood as well for building over lava and reach high places. Some of these caves can require more than 60 pieces of wood to explore.
