We all know that the Tactical Nuke is the be-all and end-all in any Call of Duty game. When a nuke is deployed, all players receive a ten-second countdown before the nuke strikes the battlefield, wiping out all players no matter what. It’s a massive tactic that lets everyone in the lobby know that they just got smoked by the ultimate player.
With the Modern Warfare 3 campaign finally out in the wild, players are wondering how to get the nuke in-game. If you want to deploy one for yourself, here’s everything you need to know on how to get a Nuke in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.
Modern Warfare 3: How to Get a Nuke?
Modern Warfare 3 brings a plethora of features into multiplayer, from a new Gunsmith system to an revamped Perk System. But one tried and tested feature making a return is the Tactical Nuke.
Getting a nuke in Modern Warfare 3 is a bit difficult as compared to the previous MW Game. MW3 players can get the MGB Tactical Nuke by getting a 30 Killstreak in one match. You don't have to equip the MGB as a Killstreak; it will automatically show up once you meet the kill requirement.
After you’ve secured the Killstreak count, all you need to do is hit your assigned button/key to deploy the nuke. You won’t be able to see a countdown for when the nuke strikes, but you will know it’s coming. The sky will turn brighter, and a number of bombs will begin dropping before your entire screen becomes white.
It’s important to remember that any kills received from other Killstreaks will not add to the 30-kill total. You can expect only the top dogs to reach the prestige of dropping an MGB Tactical Nuke on the entire lobby.
Calling in a Nuke in Modern Warfare 3 brings an end to the match and secures the victory for you and your team. So, if your opponent on the enemy team is getting plenty of kills without dying, be sure to deal with them to keep the match going.
