Update drivers

You can start off by doing what is suggested in the error message, which is restart your system and update your drivers. You can update your drivers manually through the Device Manager located in the Control Panel. You may need to download the latest version of your drivers from your graphic card manufacturer’s website.

If this doesn’t work, you can try downloading and installing driver updates from the ‘Optional Updates’ section in your Windows Update tab.

Make sure Valorant Vanguard service is running

Open command prompt in admin mode by going to run through Windows + R and typing cmd. In the CMD prompt window, run the commands below:

sc query vgc

sc query vgk

If it says the service is not available, you will need to uninstall VALORANT and Riot Vanguard. After this do a fresh download and reinstall the latest version of both the game and Riot Vanguard programs. However, if you see vgc service is available, start Vanguard manually by running the following command:

net start vgc
