To fix the issue, you need to have Nvidia GeForce Experience installed. While Windows automatically updates your Nvidia graphics card drivers, they are typically a version or two older to ensure stability. If you want access to the new driver that released on 2nd November, here’s what you need to do:

  1. Search for Nvidia GeForce Experience in the Start menu in Windows

  2. Click on the first result.

  3. Click on Drivers.

  4. Click on Check for Updates or Update.

  5. Wait for the download to complete and click on Install.

  6. Click on Next until the installation is complete.

You also have the option of downloading the hotfix directly. GeForce hotfix display driver version 526.61 can be downloaded directly from Nvidia’s update. This hotfix addresses the following issues:

  • [Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II] Flashing corruption can be seen randomly while playing the game.

  • VTube Studio may crash to black screen.

  • GPU stuck in P0 state after exiting certain games.

Click here to download the GeForce hotfix display driver for Windows 10 and Windows 11.

You may also face issues if you are running an old version of Windows 10 or 11. In addition to updating your graphics card drivers, you should also update Windows.

  1. On your keyboard, press the Windows logo key and type check.

  2. Click Check for updates.

  3. Follow the on-screen instructions so that Windows Update will automatically download & install the latest DirectX for you (included in the updates).

You should no longer face screen flickering in Modern Warfare 2. If you are still facing issues, reach out to Activision’s support platform for more assistance.
