How to Find Underworld Chest in Fortnite and Complete Grim Gate Quest

Completing the weekly quest related to an Underworld Chest in Fortnite will grant a big chunk of XP and get you some good loot in the process. In Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2, Underworld Chests, as their name suggests, only spawn in the Underworld and Grim Gate. Here is all you need to know about how to find Underworld Chest In Fortnite and complete the Grim Gate Quest. 

Completing Underworld Chest quest in Fortnite 

One of the weekly quests is to search an Underworld Chest at Grim Gate and leave without taking damage. Completing this task will grant you 10,000 XP, significantly accelerating the progress of your battle pass. To complete the quest, you must specifically find and loot an Underworld chest at Grim Gate. Looting any other chest in the Underworld does not count towards completing the quest.

You’ll find the chest located at Grim Gate at the top of the gate. Completing the quest will not only require you to open it, but to get away without taking damage. So once you open the Underworld Chest located here, you can use the River Styx right below for a quick exit from the area.

While it is tempting to go for the other chests in the area, you’ll need to make sure you don’t take damage to complete the quest. If you do decide to use the Styx river, it will grant you three zero-point dashes, allowing you to get away even quicker. 

If you use the Styx to get away, you can also complete another Rise of Midas quest if there are any players around. The River Styx is a glowing, green body of water around The Underworld area in Fortnite. When you jump into the river, you’ll notice glowing green skulls pop up around you. Once the chest quest is complete you can look to take out players to complete this part of the quest.

Where to find Underworld Chests in Fortnite

Underworld Chests can be found in the Underworld and Grim Gate sides of the map. You’ll find a guaranteed Underworld Chest spawn at the easternmost spawn in the Underworld. The map below shows the 18 potential spawn locations for Underworld Chests. These locations may have a standard chest instead. However, you can find a guaranteed Underworld Chest spawn at the easternmost spawn in the Underworld.
