Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 brought back split-screen goodness for players who want to play with their friends. Gamers worldwide have been playing with their friends but it is limited to specific Multiplayer modes and private games only. If you are wondering if Warzone 2.0 has split-screen capabilities, we have some bad news for you. Warzone 2.0’s battle royale mode does not offer split-screen capabilities.
How to co-op in Warzone 2.0
If you are on Steam or Battle.net:
Launch Steam or Battle.net
Invite or join players using the Friends feature on either app instead of the in-game Social menu.
There is also an alternate method in-game in case you have trouble with the previous method.
Launch Warzone 2.0
Click on the Headset icon in the top-right corner
Create a New Channel
Name the Channel and Save
You can now add four friends to join your channel
There is a Social menu bug that prevents players from partying up at times on PC and you have to use the Channel method or directly join your friends via Steam or Battle.net. After the bug is fixed, you can use the Social menu in-game to directly click on your friends’ names and add them to a party.
Playing Modern Warfare 2 in co-op mode
If you want to team up with other players in Modern Warfare 2’s game modes that do support split-screen co-op, here’s what you need to do:
Launch Modern Warfare 2 and go to the Lobby
Connect the second controller or another input device to your console or PC
Wait for the in-game prompt confirming a new input device has been added
This will make your game split-screen for Modern Warfare 2’s private games and non-solo game modes.
Split screen co-op is unlikely to be added to Warzone anytime soon as the developers have shown no intention of adding the feature to the game since the original Warzone.
