What is DMZ?
DMZ is an open-world, narrative-focused extraction mode where Operators have free rein to complete missions and fight to survive toward exfiltration.
Contracts
Just like in Battle Royale, DMZ contains quick-completion objectives that can be accepted in-match for Cash and other rewards with exclusive objectives.
World Activities
DMZ's Tac Map showcases additional side objectives like Hidden Caches, SAM Sites, Strongholds and more.
Cooperation or Deceit
You are free to engage or avoid these other squads as you see fit. In squad-based DMZ matches (such as Trios at launch), there is also the option to assimilate with other squads instead of fighting them.
Backpack
As opposed to simplified pickup mechanics and a smaller Loadout system in Warzone 2.0’s Battle Royale, DMZ item gathering involves a Backpack with complex inventory management.
