How to Deal With Sanitar in Escape From Tarkov

Sanitar is one of the many Scav bosses found in Escape From Tarkov. He has a relatively high health pool and will break away from fights to heal. You’ll find Sanitar on Shoreline. Sanitar needs to be killed once for the quest The Huntsman Path - Relentless and either killed for the quest The Huntsman Path - Sadist or not killed for Colleagues - Part 3. Here is how to deal with Sanitar in Escape From Tarkov.

Where does Sanitar spawn in Escape From Tarkov

Sanitar and 2-3 guards have a 20% chance to spawn on Shoreline in the east and west wing of the health resort or at the port/pier area and near the cottages. He may also be surrounded by scavs. He usually spawns with a PP-91-01 "Kedr-B" 9x18PM submachine gun or a VSS Vintorez 9x39 special sniper rifle with a number of different mods. He also spawns with a number of useful medical equipment like Grizzly medical kits, Surv12 field surgical kits and several injectors. However, he does not spawn with any armor. Sanitar’s stats are as follows:

• Head: 70

• Thorax: 360

• Stomach: 140

• Arms: 120 each

• Legs: 230 each

• Total: 1270

Sanitar’s guards are usually well-armed and armored. Their gear often includes class 5-rated armor and helmets, and they carry plenty of grenades. They also carry plenty of medical items to heal themselves during fights.

How to deal with Sanitar in Escape From Tarkov

While dealing with Sanitar, using grenades to keep him and his guards engaged will not give him a chance to break off from the fight and heal. Since he carries a number of medical items, he can engage you in sustained fights if he gets the chance to heal. However, beware of his guards’ grenades since they tend to use them often. Sanitar may also be accompanied by scavs which sneak up on you and engage with you while the scav boss and his guards surround you. 

Like with Shturman, use slow peaks on right hand to try and get a pick off on him. While using slow peaks, not much of your body peaks out so the AI doesn’t register you and shoot at you. This allows you to shoot at them without them shooting back. Use a 2x or above scope to use slow peaks and take him out. 

When fighting him, run gear you’re comfortable running in and automatic weapons with high flesh damage. Single shot weapons are not recommended due to his high health pool and auto-injectors.
