How to Complete The Extortionist in Escape From Tarkov

The Extortionist quest in Escape From Tarkov is available to complete on the Customs map, the second location added to the game. You’ll be able to do the quest only if you are level 7 or above. It is given to you by Alexander Fyodorovich Kiselyov, known by his alias "Skier". Here is all you need to know to complete The Extortionist in Escape from Tarkov.

Steps in completing The Extortionist in Escape From Tarkov

• Obtain the hidden valuable cargo on Customs

• (Optional) Locate the messengers body

• (Optional) Find the place where the messenger hid the cargo

• Hand over the valuable cargo to Skier

You will first need to get the Unknown key item to unlock the cabin on Customs where the Secure Folder 0048 is located. The required key can be found on a dead Scav located on Customs. Go near Warehouse 17 where you’ll find a bush with the dead scav you need to loot.

The key is a guaranteed spawn for every raid. Look for the ‘Close’ prompt on the scav, which means someone has already looted him. However, do check it anyway since the key may be unlooted.

Once you have the key, head down to the crane yard next to Warehouse 4.

Go to the gray container house here and unlock it using the Unknown key. 

Look for the file under the rag on the ground in front of you as you enter.

Once you complete all the objectives, it is important to note that players must extract safely without being killed by enemy players or Scavs. Completing The Extortionist will get you the following rewards:

• 525 Dollars with Intelligence Center Level 1

• 575 Dollars with Intelligence Center Level 2

• 1x BNTI Zhuk-3 body armor (Press)

• Unlocks purchase of Remington Model 870 12ga pump-action shotgun at Skier LL1
