How to Complete the Energy Crisis Quest in Escape from Tarkov

The Energy Crisis quest in Escape From Tarkov is available to complete at the Lighthouse, the eighth location added to the game. You’ll be able to do the quest only if you’re level 25. The quest is given to you by Sergey Arsenyevich Samoylov, known by his alias "Mechanic". Here is all you need to know to complete the Energy Crisis quest in Escape from Tarkov. 

Steps in completing Energy Crisis Quest

You receive this quest from the Mechanic and it is a requirement for the Kappa container. The quest’s objectives are as follows:

• Find and mark the group of fuel tanks with an MS2000 Marker on Lighthouse.

• Find and mark the first tanker truck with an MS2000 Marker on Lighthouse.

• Find and mark the second tanker truck with an MS2000 Marker on Lighthouse.

• Find and mark the third tanker truck with an MS2000 Marker on Lighthouse.

Make sure to look out for Rogues in the area, you’ll need to clear the territory before safely marking the fuel tanks. You’ll find the group of fuel tanks and the third tanker truck next to the Armoured train near the northern checkpoint. The first tanker is located on the southern part of the Water Treatment Plant between the grenade launcher and the LMG. The second tanker is located on the western side of the Water Treatment Plant. Once you mark all the tanker trucks, make sure to extract safely to complete the quest. 

Upon completing the quest, you’ll receive the following rewards:

• +13,000 EXP

• Mechanic Rep +0.02

• 75,000 Roubles

  78,750 Roubles with Intelligence center Level 1

  86,250 Roubles with Intelligence center Level 2

• Unlocks barter for FN SCAR-L 5.56x45 assault rifle (variant Contract Wars) at Mechanic loyalty level 3

• Unlocks purchase of Tromix Monster Claw 12ga muzzle brake at Mechanic loyalty level 3.
