Activision released Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, the nineteenth installment of the Call of Duty series, on 28th October 2022. The game’s developer, Infinity Ward, decided to go with a simple and intuitive User Interface (UI) in this new game. However, the players are finding the new UI confusing and are struggling to find a few crucial menus, namely the barracks and challenges tab that tell the players their overall Kill Death ratio (K/D) and other key statistics. This guide will discuss how players can check their K/D in Modern Warfare 2.
Checking KD in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
After the launch of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, players have been confused and are wondering how to check their in-game statistics. Soon, the players discovered that the overall player statistics, including the K/D ratio, were not available anywhere in the game. The player statistics in Call of Duty games are usually located in the Barracks section of the game. However, the Barracks section is nowhere to be found in Modern Warfare 2. The only menu options available in the game are Home, Social, and Progression.
The K/D ratio is a metric often used by players to see how they are faring and holds a special place in shooter games. The ability to track your statistics and see how you are performing will help you understand the key areas to improve and is crucial for all players.
Even though the K/D ratio isn’t the most important statistic for any player, every COD player has looked for it at least once while playing the most recent installment in the series: Modern Warfare 2. With a spirit of healthy competition, players eagerly compare their K/D ratios to their teammates and other players in the lobby. Even though the option to check overall K/D is unavailable, players can still check their K/D of a specific match in the game.
To see your K/D ratio in Modern Warfare 2, you have to click on the Tab button while on PC, hit the touchpad while playing on the PlayStation. In the case of Xbox, players need to click the menu button. Performing these actions will open the detailed scorecard of the ongoing match, where players can see a column “K/D Ratio” that shows the KD ratio of all the players in a particular team.
It is still unknown whether the developer intentionally removed the Barracks section from the game or if it is just a bug. However, it seems that players will have to wait for an official announcement from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 to know more.
