Existing COD Points will be accessible in Warzone 2.0 as well as Modern Warfare 2.
Skins and other cosmetics are not transferable and will stay locked in Vanguard and Warzone.
Players will be able to access their COD Points as long as they maintain the same accounts.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is set to release on 28th October and fans are excited to get their hands on the game. But that isn’t all that the Call of Duty fanbase is getting. We are also getting Warzone 2.0 with brand-new content on 16th November and a lot of fans are wondering if Call of Duty Points will transfer over from one game to another. This is a hot topic because player cosmetics from Vanguard and Warzone will NOT be transferring over to Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0.

Call of Duty Points will transfer over to Warzone 2.0

While cosmetics will not transfer from the previous generation of Call of Duty games to the two upcoming games, your Call of Duty Points will be available in Warzone 2.0 as well as Modern Warfare 2. The only catch is you need to be using the same account for all the games. It is not possible to transfer your coins from one game to another.

If you are playing on a particular platform and want to play Warzone 2.0 or Modern Warfare 2 on a different platform here’s what you need to do:

  1. Make sure your Battle.net account is not a trial account. Log in to your Battle.net Account Management Page to complete the registration

  2. Check if your Battle.net account already has a console account linked to it. Each Battle.net account may only have one PSN, one Xbox Live, and one Nintendo Switch account linked to it

  3. Check if your console account is already linked to a different Battle.net account. The same console account cannot be linked to multiple Battle.net accounts

  4. Link the correct accounts

The process is the same even if you are using a Steam account to download the game. You will need a Battle.net ID to link multiple platforms together. Account links have cooldowns limiting how often they can be changed. You will receive a warning in Battle.net account management specifying the specific cooldown length when disconnecting an account type that has a cooldown, and they can go as high as 365 days so you should make sure you are linking the right IDs.

If you are facing issues with account linking, you can contact Blizzard Entertainment’s Customer Service for further assistance. You will also need to connect a phone number if you want to play Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0’s multiplayer modes.
