You can add a personal touch to your Valorant home screen by changing it up.
The process involved is fairly simple to do. However, discretion is advised.
Here is how you can change your Home Screen in Valorant.

Valorant has a tradition of changing up the game’s home screen for new acts. For Valorant Episode 06 Act 3 Riot has added a live home screen with Gekko and Brimstone playing old console games, celebrating the release of the Radiant Entertainment System bundle.

If you want something different, it is possible to change your Home Screen in Valorant. Since it does not involve any third-party services or programs, players have not reported getting banned for it. But it does involve making changes in your Riot Games files, which can be considered a bannable offense and Riot support has asked players to refrain from it, so proceed at your own discretion.

How to change your Home Screen in Valorant

Changing your home screen in Valorant will require you to first launch the game and then minimize it. After that follow these steps:

  • Open the folder where your ‘Riot Games’ folder is saved, (usually this is your C: drive, unless you’ve done a custom installation).

  • Then head to VALORANT > live > ShooterGame > Content > Movies > Menu.

  • Look for the file named ‘HomepageEp6A3_Arcade’ for the current act.

  • Copy the file name before you delete it. Now delete the file.

  • Drag and drop your desired MP4 file into the folder and rename it as ‘HomepageEp6A3_Arcade’.

  • Navigate away from the home screen and come back to it in a few minutes.

Your custom Valorant home screen will now be set. Although note that the ambient sound still remains; in the case of this act the sounds of Brimstone and Gekko gaming.

Will I get banned if I change my Valorant home screen?

When fans realized they could change their home screens, they went wild, some put up their highlight reels or cool live wallpapers. According to a Reddit user, a player contacted Riot support about this and the developer responded asking players not to do this as it can qualify as alteration of game files and constitute as a 3rd party permanent suspension. While there have been no known bans for changing your home screen, Riot has ‘strongly recommended’ not doing this, according to WIN.gg. So if you plan on changing your home screen, caution is advised.

Note that Valorant has a function for "file integrity" that sometimes it resets all of your files in the  Valorant folder to default automatically, so you may need to repeat the process again to change your home screen.
