Being able to see things clearly is an important aspect of first-person shooter (FPS) games. It becomes all the more imperative in a game like Valorant where there are so many abilities of different colors involved and the success of your rounds and matches depends on being able to clearly distinguish between everything that’s on your screen. Only when you see an enemy, you will be able to react and shoot at them. If you are finding it difficult to notice your enemies, fret not since Riot Games allows you to change the outline color of your enemies in Valorant. This way you will be able to choose an enemy color that helps you with visibility.

Here’s how you change enemy highlight colors in Valorant.

Valorant Enemy Highlight Color: All You Need to Know

If you are looking to play around with the enemy highlight color, you will have to change it in the in-game settings that you see on the main menu.

Here’s all you need to do:

  • Open Valorant.

  • Go to Settings.

  • Under the ‘General’ tab, navigate to ‘Accessibility’.

  • Now click on “Enemy Highlight Color.”

  • You will notice four options.

  • Choose one of the four that suits you best and you are done!

By default, the enemy highlight color is set to “Red” in Valorant. However, you can choose other colors to see your enemies better in-game. One of the colors available is a shade of purple and this should help players with blue-yellow color blindness.

Additionally, there are two shades of yellow to help Valorant players with Deuteranopia and the other one to assist with Protanopia. Notably, people with Protanopia are unable to perceive any ‘red' light and those with Deuteranopia are unable to perceive 'green' light. Both of these are a type of color blindness.

Players should note that colors and enemy highlights are highly subjective. Your friend could excel on the yellow highlight and you might find it difficult to play with. So you must choose the best Valorant enemy highlight color according to your preferences.

Also, if you are color blind, you might want to pick a color accordingly or if you think the default red highlight is the best option out there, do not change and experiment with the settings.

While choosing the right enemy color, there are a few things to keep in mind:

  • The color that you opt for needs to contrast well with the game’s background, surroundings, and objects so that it makes it easy to spot the enemy amongst the million other things on the screen.

  • Secondly, the color needs to be easily visible even from afar. Only then you will be able to instantly react to the enemies you spot.
