Battlestate Games has announced a Twitch Drops event for Escape from Tarkov.

Escape from Tarkov’s latest patch 0.13 brought forth new content to the game including the addition of the much-anticipated Streets of Tarkov map. Battlestate Games has now revealed that it is organizing an event for the New Year and the release of the new patch. The developer mentioned that the event will feature Escape from Tarkov Twitch drops. It noted that the traditional Escape from Tarkov Twitch Drops Event brings together players from all countries and continents, and no one is left without a present. “We thank everyone for your support, love, and faith in Escape from Tarkov, together we are creating the game of our dreams!” it added.

Escape from Tarkov Twitch Drop Event: Dates, pre-requisites & more

According to Battlestate games, the Escape from Tarkov Twitch drops event is scheduled from 29th December to 8th January 2023

Players should note that the Twitch drops are only available to users who own a copy of the game. If you don’t have one, you will have to purchase it before looking to redeem the Escape from Tarkov Twitch drops. In order to receive these drops or give them away on your Twitch channel, both viewers and streamers need to link their Twitch account to their game profile on the Escape from Tarkov website

To earn a Drops reward, you will need to be logged in to Twitch and have your game account linked to your Twitch account. From Battlestate Games’ account connection page, log into your game account, then into your Twitch account to link the accounts together.


Watch streams to get drops

Battlestate games has changed the principle of receiving drops this year. Previously, streamers could participate in three 24-hour drops campaigns. It added that this year streamers will be able to participate in six 12-hour campaigns.

For streamers: 

  • 2 x 12h on general day (29th December) 

  • 2 x 12h on general day (7th January)

  • 2 personal 12-hour campaigns on two different days, with the first campaign starting at 5 am PST and the second at 5 pm PST. 

On 29th December and 7-8th January, the Escape from Tarkov Twitch drops will be activated on all channels (without exception) that are streaming under the Escape from Tarkov category. You can check out which streamer will be streaming on which date (30th December - 6th January) and slot on the official website for their personal campaigns.


What drops can you get?

Battlestate Games guarantees that during the campaign, you will receive one in-game item at certain intervals and this could include weapons, gear, various rare items, etc. It also added that viewers can watch one or more broadcasts, but viewing time will only count if the broadcasts are part of the event.

When you watch for the required amount of time, a claim message will appear at the bottom of the chat area and by clicking on it, you will be able to claim the drop. If you miss the claim message, you can claim your Escape from Tarkov Twitch Drops from the Drops Inventory page.

Additionally, players can follow the announcements and watch the broadcasts on the official Battlestate Games Twitch channel till 8th January 2023 during specified times. It has planned a series of interesting events and by taking part in them all viewers can win various gifts.
