Modern Warfare 3: How Many Maps Are There?
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 brings a mix of multiplayer maps from the original Modern Warfare 2 (2009), all modernized, alongside brand-new maps. Modern Warfare 3 will launch with 16 maps for the core 6v6 multiplayer modes of the game and four large-scale maps, making a total of 20 multiplayer maps available at launch.
Players will be able to jump into the classic Modern Warfare 2 maps for the multiplayer modes of Modern Warfare 3 on launch. We’ll also see the addition of over 12 all-new core 6v6 maps post-launch with Season updates. That’s not all; a selection of fan-favorite Modern Warfare II (2022) maps will also be added to MW through live sessions.
