Players familiar with Call of Duty will experience a rush of excitement upon hearing about double XP weekends in Modern Warfare 3 (MW3) and Warzone. This event allows players to gather many battle-pass weapons that take an extremely long period of time to upgrade.
The double XP weekends will allow players to earn double the experience when playing MW3, Zombies, or Warzone. These include doubling the Level XP, Weapon XP, Clan XP and Battle Pass XP. This speeds up the process of having to wait for weeks or months to unlock weapons, other in-game items, or level up.
The event is currently underway, and here's everything you need to know about it.
MW3 & Warzone Double XP Event: Date and Time (December 2023)
At the time of writing, the double XP event is currently underway. It began on 21st December 2023 and is going to run till 28th December 2023.
The double XP event in MW3 and Warzone is where all the gains made by players are doubled. This helps speed up the process of gaining battle passes, leveling up, or unlocking weapons. And as the event heads towards the end, the Season 1 battle pass will also come to fruition.
This will allow those players who have not progressed through the Season 1 battle pass faster because time is running out. The battle pass needs to be completed before the launch of Modern Warfare 3 Season 1 Reloaded, which is expected to go live in January 2024.
The last double XP event took place recently, around a month ago in November 2023. It introduced three new playlists for MW3. However, this time, the emphasis is only on getting those gains in XP.
Call of Duty 2025 and New Changes
As the year is coming to an end and Season 1 of MW3 will soon be wrapped up, rumors about Call of Duty 2025 are starting to do the rounds. It is speculated that major changes in Call of Duty are coming, and they have been heavily inspired from Modern Warfare 3. Many believe this to be the game's step towards countering criticism and making changes to appease its player base.
Its extremely important to respect community engagement and inculcate feedback from the gaming community regularly. It seems like the game is ready to do the same and make those changes in its next big project, aka, Call of Duty 2025.
We are looking forward to seeing what those changes are and how they will make things different from the previous iteration. For now, however, the CODMAS event as well as the Double XP events are underway, allowing players to generate enormous wealth and XP.
