Can You Buy Discounted League of Legends RP Gift Cards on Amazon Prime Day Sale 2023?

Riot Points (RP) is the premium currency used for unlocking League of Legends and Teamfight Tactics content, mostly from cosmetics to other functions outside of direct gameplay. Since RP is purchased with real-life currency, its pricing will vary from region to region. Notably, purchasing RP can be done online using a credit/debit card or via PayPal and you will find this facility available on the client. However, it can also be redeemed with a gift code.

Currently,  the RP gift cards can be purchased digitally online or at local retailers, and they can be redeemed by entering the card’s pin code in Riot’s in-client store. One of the biggest online platforms selling these gift cards is Amazon. With Amazon’s Prime Day Sales just around the corner, League of Legends players are wondering if they will get the RP Gift Cards for good discounts on Amazon.

Discounted RP Gift Cards on Amazon Prime Day Sales: All We Know 

Amazon Prime Day is Amazon's annual deal event that features two days of epic deals on top brands. According to prominent League of Legends YouTuber Matty Love Gaming, players can expect League of Legends RP gift cards to be featured on the Amazon Prime Day sales at cheap prices and discounts.

For 2023, the Amazon Prime Day sales dates are 11th and 12th July.

The YouTuber noted that last year, these cards were available at a 20% discount on Prime Day sales. This was confirmed by a Reddit thread in 2022. One Redditor wrote, “Save 20% on Riot Point gift cards via Amazon Prime Day. For whoever is interested, you save 20% on RP gift cards on Amazon right now. I checked amazon.de and amazon.co.uk.”

This deal makes purchasing RP more cost-efficient. Interestingly, even in 2019, RP gift cards were available at a 10% discount on Amazon US, UK, Spain, Italy, Germany, and other countries. 

However, you should note that the Prime Day Sales is exclusively held for Amazon Prime members only. But the good news is that the Prime Day sales and the gift cards are available for most countries that have Prime membership. 

If it is not available in your country, you could try using a VPN for a nearby eligible country to get your hands on discounted, cheap RP. If you do not have a Prime account, you could sign up for the free seven-day trial right before the big Prime Day sales.

Once you purchase the RP gift card from Amazon Prime Day sales, you will receive the code in your email and you will have to redeem it in your client. 

Here’s how you redeem the code from the gift card:

• Login to your League of Legends account.

• Click on the Store icon on the Home page.

• Now, click on the small ‘Account’ icon that you see beside the Purchase RP and Gifting Center options.

• On the left, you will see the option Redeem Codes.

• Selecting it will open up a new window where you can enter the code from your gift card and redeem it.

Riot Games currently offers prepaid gift cards for PC in four denominations exclusively for PC at $10 USD, $25 USD, $50 USD, and $100 USD.
